Terms of Use
The deal, in plain words.
AwardMath is free to use. These terms exist so it's clear what our numbers promise, what they don't, and what stays your decision.
What AwardMath is
AwardMath helps you figure out how to use the points and miles you already have. You tell us your balances and where you want to go; we show you booking plans with the math behind them. We are a planning tool: we don't sell travel, we don't book anything for you, and we never move your points.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no price, no subscription, and no feature behind a payment. After a plan works out, we may invite a voluntary contribution — always optional, never required, and never a condition for using anything on this site.
Our numbers — and their limits
Award prices, transfer ratios, and promotions change constantly, and programs change them without notice. Every number we show was observed from a real source at the time stamped next to it — and any number can be stale by the time you read it. That's why the rule of this site is also a term of using it:
- Always re-verify before doing anything irreversible. Confirm the award seat and the price with the program before you transfer points. Transfers between programs are final — nobody, including us, can undo one.
- We provide information and math, not financial, legal, or travel advice. Booking decisions are yours.
- Because the service is free and the data can go stale, AwardMath is provided as-is, and we can't accept liability for bookings, transfers, or program decisions made from it.
Independence
AwardMath is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline, hotel group, bank, or card issuer. Program names and trademarks belong to their owners; we use them only to tell you which program a number belongs to.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no scraping the site into someone else's product, no flooding the tools with automated traffic, no attempting to break or probe it. We may block traffic that does.
Changes
If these terms change, the changes appear on this page with a new date. Using the site after a change means the current version applies. Questions belong on the contact page.
