point.me vs Seats.aero: Search Tool or Booking Service

point.me combines award search with paid booking help, while Seats.aero concentrates on searching award availability.

Seats.aero says it can "Search award flight availability across 20+ airline mileage programs" and displays results in a dense, filterable table. It is fastest to use when you already know the route or region you want to search.

Seats.aero is better than point.me when you know the route and want to inspect a large table of availability yourself. It is also better than AwardMath for finding seats because AwardMath does not show live availability at all.

Pay for point.me Concierge if you want booking help; use Seats.aero if you are comfortable searching and booking the award yourself.

The decision is mostly about labor, not which interface looks better. point.me gives you the option to buy help after or alongside its search product. That can make sense if you do not want to compare programs, work through booking steps, or handle the search alone. The exact Concierge fee was not published on the pages we could verify, so check the quoted cost before agreeing.

Seats.aero gives a self-directed traveler more search depth. Its filterable results are useful when you already have a destination or route in mind and want to inspect availability across programs. No paid booking service was published for Seats.aero on the pages we could read.

Before transferring any points, confirm the seat directly with the mileage program that will issue the ticket. Transfers are generally irreversible, and neither a search result nor funding calculation replaces that final check.

point.me adds a paid human-service option, while Seats.aero publishes broader details about its self-service search product.

Seats.aero describes PRO this way: "Support the development of seats.aero by signing up for a PRO account, $9.99/month for access to the full year of results, live search, SMS/push alerts, and more!"

Seats.aero also publishes an automation boundary: "The seats.aero web interface uses bot protection that may prevent automated access. AI agents and automated tools should use the API instead of attempting to interact with the website directly."

The point.me pages we checked did not give a comparable program count, result-window description, or automation policy. Those gaps prevent a clean comparison on those features.

Seats.aero publishes a $0 free tier and $9.99 monthly PRO tier, while the point.me Premium price depended on which test page appeared.

As of August 19, 2026, Seats.aero listed Free at $0 with a shortened results window. The exact length of that free search window was not verified. Seats.aero listed PRO at $9.99 per month with a full year of results, live search, SMS and push alerts, and additional features. Annual pricing was not published on the pages we could verify.

point.me was running a subscription-price split test when checked. Its page source contained variants named "5c-winner---$12/monthly-price" and "$19.99-Price-test-page---m26." The Premium price you see can therefore differ by test cohort. Check the amount shown to you before subscribing.

point.me also sells Concierge bookings and gives subscribers a Concierge discount. A single standard Premium price and the Concierge per-booking fees were not verified. The pages we checked also did not establish a point.me free tier.

The vendor pages we checked do not establish that either tool calculates which of your separate bank-point balances should fund a specific award.

An availability result tells you that an award may be bookable through a mileage program. It does not, by itself, settle which transferable balance can reach that program, how many issuer points you need, or what using one balance instead of another costs you.

Choose point.me if paid booking help is the deciding feature. Its Concierge service is the clearest difference, but check both the Premium price shown to you and the Concierge quote before paying.

Choose Seats.aero if you already know roughly where you want to go and prefer to work through dense, filterable results yourself. The free tier offers a shortened search window. PRO extends results to a full year and adds live search and alerts.

Use AwardMath after you have an award target and need to decide which balance can pay for it. It handles funding math, not seat discovery. Confirm availability in the booking program before moving any points.
