Key takeaways

  • All 14 corroborated Chase transfer partners use a 1:1 base ratio.
  • The corroborated list includes 10 airline programs and four hotel programs.
  • Hilton Honors and Qatar Airways appeared in our data on August 12, 2026, but you should not rely on either transfer until Chase confirms it in your account.
  • A 1:1 ratio does not guarantee equal value because each partner sets its own award prices, fees, and availability.
  • Confirm the award through the partner before transferring because transfers are generally irreversible.

The Hilton ratio is equivalent to roughly 1 Chase point for 1.5 Hilton points. It is an observed record, not a confirmed transfer option. Qatar was observed at 1:1 but carries the same warning.

What the transfer ratios mean

A 1:1 ratio converts 1,000 Chase points into 1,000 points or miles with the selected partner.

The ratio measures quantity, not value. One Hyatt point, one Marriott point, and one United mile can produce different results because each program controls its own award pricing, taxes, surcharges, and inventory. Compare the full award cost with the cash price before moving points.

Temporary transfer bonuses can improve the base ratio. For example, Chase offered a time-limited Aeroplan bonus that ended April 30, 2026. That expired promotion is not reflected in this table, and this page does not claim that any transfer bonus is active now.

How to treat the Hilton and Qatar records

Do not count Hilton or Qatar as usable Chase partners until the transfer appears inside your own Ultimate Rewards account.

Our graph observed both records on August 12, 2026, but neither has reached the same corroboration level as the other 14 partners. Hilton is especially notable because its observed ratio differs from Chase's standard 1:1 structure. That makes independent confirmation necessary before you plan a redemption around it.

If either option appears in your account, check the displayed conversion ratio and terms before submitting a transfer. A screen showing the partner name is not enough if the final confirmation page shows a different ratio.

Which Chase points can transfer

You need an eligible premium Ultimate Rewards card to transfer points to airline and hotel partners.

Reporting from June 2026 identifies the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, and Ink Business Preferred as cards that can make Ultimate Rewards points transferable. Points earned on a no-annual-fee Chase card may become transferable when combined with points on an eligible premium card, subject to Chase's account and household rules.

Do not assume every card displaying points has direct partner access. Sign in to Ultimate Rewards and confirm that the transfer-partner menu is available before building a trip around a transfer.

When transferring makes sense

Transfer only when the partner award costs less than your practical alternative and the seat or room is available to book.

Start with the trip, not the partner list. Search the airline or hotel program for the exact date and itinerary. Record the required points, taxes, surcharges, and cancellation terms. Then compare that total with the cash price and any Chase Travel redemption available to your card.

Airline award inventory can disappear while you are moving points. Use an award-search tool or the partner's own website, then confirm the space directly with the program before transferring. We verify the conversion math, not live award seats.

Transfers are generally irreversible. Do not move points speculatively because a partner has a recognizable name or a temporary bonus.

Transfer partners versus Chase Travel

A partner transfer creates airline miles or hotel points, while Chase Travel uses your Chase points to pay through the issuer's booking platform.

A transfer can beat the portal when a partner offers a low award price compared with the cash fare. It can also be worse if the award has high surcharges, restrictive cancellation rules, or no usable inventory.

Portal hotel bookings are third-party reservations. At major chains, they may not earn hotel points or receive elite-status benefits. A direct hotel award booked after transferring points normally runs through the loyalty program instead, but only makes sense if the points price is competitive.

Before you move any points

  • Every number here carries the date we checked it. That is what we saw that day, not a promise it still holds.
  • We do not show live seat availability. Award space moves by the minute, so check it in the program you will book with.
  • Before you transfer anything, confirm the flight, cabin, seat count and final cash price with the program issuing the ticket. Transfers between programs are one-way.
