Transferring Chase Points to Flying Blue to Book Delta Flights

Chase points reach Delta flights through Flying Blue, not through Delta SkyMiles.

Air France-KLM and Delta are airline partners. When Delta releases a seat to partners, Flying Blue may let you redeem Flying Blue miles for that Delta-operated flight. Flying Blue issues the ticket and sets the mileage price and booking terms.

This distinction matters because Delta controls which seats partners can access. A Delta flight showing an award price on Delta.com does not prove that Flying Blue can book it. Search through Flying Blue and judge the redemption by the price shown there.

Chase Ultimate Rewards transferred to Flying Blue at a 1:1 base ratio as of August 13, 2026.

That means 20,000 eligible Chase points become 20,000 Flying Blue miles at the standard ratio. AwardMath observed and corroborated this ratio, but Chase can change transfer terms.

A transfer bonus would change the number of Chase points required, but use one only if Chase displays it in your account and the dates cover your transfer. We are not claiming a Chase transfer bonus is available now.

Find the exact Delta itinerary in Flying Blue before moving a single Chase point.

Search on the Flying Blue website or app using your full origin and destination. Confirm all of the following:

1. The operating airline is Delta.
2. The flight number and date match the trip you want.
3. Flying Blue shows enough seats for every traveler.
4. The mileage price and cash charge are acceptable.
5. The itinerary remains selectable through the booking process.

Flying Blue's award calendar can include partner flights, but reported caching problems can produce phantom results. A date appearing on the calendar is not enough. Open the flight and proceed far enough to confirm the itinerary and total price.

You can also use an award-search tool to identify possible dates, but Flying Blue is the final check. We verify the transfer math, not live seats.

Transfer only the miles required after Flying Blue shows a bookable itinerary.

If your Chase account is eligible for airline transfers, select Air France-KLM Flying Blue in the Chase transfer portal and enter the amount you need. Verify the Flying Blue account information and transfer total before submitting.

Transfers cannot be reversed. Do not send points speculatively because you saw the same flight on Delta.com, because an award-search tool found it, or because a blog quoted a low price. Transfer timing can vary, and the seat can disappear while you wait.

Once the miles appear, repeat the Flying Blue search and complete the booking. Review the operating carrier, cabin, baggage terms, change rules, cancellation rules, taxes, and fees before paying.

This path is useful only when Flying Blue can see the Delta seat and its total price beats your realistic alternatives.

Frequent Miler reported in July 2026 that some domestic Delta awards had appeared for as little as 5,000 Flying Blue miles, particularly on shorter trips booked in advance. That is a reported floor, not a dependable price. Do not transfer 5,000 points until your specific flight prices at that level.

The same report said Delta had stopped giving partners access to awards within 21 days of departure. We have not independently corroborated that restriction, so verify it through a fresh Flying Blue search. If your trip is close, assume this route may not work until Flying Blue proves otherwise.

Flying Blue Promo Rewards are aimed at specified Air France and KLM awards. Do not assume a monthly Promo Rewards discount applies to a Delta-operated flight.

Skip the transfer if Flying Blue cannot display the seat, the cash charge makes the redemption unattractive, or you need flexibility that the ticket rules do not provide. Keeping the points with Chase preserves more options.
